Plot
Mathew Devassy was a bank manager. He is married to Omana for 20 years. After his retirement, Mathew decided to contest the local panchayat elections. To his shock, his wife files for divorce, complaining about him being homosexual. Was she right? How will Mathew face this issue? Will he agree with Omana’s complaint or deny it? The rest of the movie deals with this.
Star Performance
Mammootty’s performance is incredible, as usual. This is one of the different characters picked by the Megastar. His body language, expressions, and, at times, his silence speak well about his acting talent. Mammooka’s character has various emotions; he picks it well and delivers it sharply. Jyothika is neat in her role and provides what is expected of her character.
Analysis
Jeo Baby once again proved that he could capture hearts with the perfect dialogue uttered by the characters in perfect scenes. The dialogues are always important as the performances and the dialogue writers excelled in it. The characters are strongly penned, and perfect stars are placed in the correct roles. The chemistry between Mammooka and Jyo is quite decent. Not all the biggies have the guts to pick such roles. Only a few stars like Mammootty accept this kind of role and prove their mettle. The BGM in the climax strengthens the scene, thereby giving it the right effect. The cinematography and the editing are neat. The other production values are pretty decent.
